AEC Projects
Provide a custom designed gloved enclosure with Nitrogen purge to serve as a Dermal Environmental Control System.

Project Scope:

Design and fabricate a custom glove box enclosure to provide an inert, dry environment for the packaging of lyophilized materials.   A nitrogen purge system was designed for rapid and continuous purge of the enclosure to create a low humidity atmosphere.  A control panel was design with R.H. set point, timer, alarm and N2 evacuation functions for easy operator controls.  AEC collaborated extensively with the customer to optimize ergonomic issues for the operators.  Various mounting points were designed into the enclosure for ease of future modifications to the drying operation in terms of layout and functionality.

Project Highlights:

  • Close collaboration with customer for design optimization.
  • Enclosure required extensive integration considerations for a computer monitor, barcode scanner, heat sealer, N2 connections, shelves, AC power, product access and lighting.
