Misting Booth-Shower

The AEC Misting Booth supplies a fine, low volume 'fog' to affix any loose powder on the surface of the occupant's protective clothing (PPE). This helps prevent any hazardous particulate from becoming airborne when de-gowning.

The standard booth accommodates one person and can serve as a one-way passage from the potentially contaminated processing area to the degowning area. An operator simply opens the door and steps into the misting booth, activating the owner determined timed misting cycle. The water generated is collected in the sump of the shower and pumped to a drain, or directed to a process floor drain.

The booth design utilizes knockdown construction, allowing various configurations and quick assembly in existing spaces. The Misting Booth can include a variety of features such as alarm interlocks, emergency shower, degown pass through port, ventilation and step-off platform.

Features
  • Materials of Construction, 304 SS No. 4 finish frame and walls
  • Nozzles. 24 atomizing misting nozzles distributed along the ceiling, walls and underneath the floor grate ensuring uniform misting coverage inside the booth
  • Water Supply. Approximately 0.5 gpm (total) @ 50 PSIG
  • Floor/Drain pan- Water is collected in the SS sloped drain pan under the non-slip fiberglass floor grate
  • Doors. Full length, 1/4 inch tempered glass door
  • Control system. Internally located push button activates the misting cycle
